I'm going to jinx all my hard work for the past week - I weighed in on Sunday and my trainer was pretty happy with me - I lost 3 lbs! Of course, now she's over zealous and insists I lose another 12 in the next 3 weeks. :0
My eating is going pretty good - sticking to my diet pretty well. I have a problem with eating too much sodium so that's something I have to work on and I'm sure my PT will probably yell at me about that. Exercise has been going strong - I'm up to 220 minutes of cardio a week - and 3 days of strength training. It's hard work, but I know it's good for me.
In other news, mother earth has been kind to me. My plants are growing. I am a n00b so I don't know what I'm growing without looking at the labels, but they are doing fairly well. Oh, and the spider plants in my house have not yet died and I've had them for over a month now. Yay!
Time to get to work.

Healthy Hurts
I went to see my personal trainer (PT) on Sunday and got some new moves for the next week to work on. So we'll see how that goes. In addition, I went over my nutrition with her and that did not go well. Apparently my eating habits aren't all that great. :( She pretty much cut out everything I'm eating now. :P So, just to give you an example of what I'm allowed to eat, I'll go over my typical day of food.
Breakfast:
1 patty - Sausage Patties - Vegetarian
1 cup - Cereal ~ Go Lean
6 ounces - soy milk
Snack:
1/2 oz - Soy Cheese - Mozzarella
Lunch:
1 burger - Vegetarian
1.5 cups - Lettuce ~ Romaine
Breakfast:

Time for an update?
I'd say so. Just a quick synopsis:
Things are going well. Work is good. School is alright (French is difficult to learn). My gym efforts are lacking, my diet has been disregarded and it seems that I can't quite get enough sleep. Oh wait, I said things were going well, huh?
Okay, scratch that. Let's try again. Things are going well. Work is good. School is alright (French is difficult to learn). --> instert change here: I'm still making an excellent effort (and succeeding on most occassions) to get to the gym regularly. I have some pretty good goals for myself in that area and am working on improving my running ability for some possible future marathons (and no I did not finish the previous 5K I had planned on). But, I'm optimistic that it'll happen eventually - otherwise Micah owes me big time. My diet has been slightly disregard, though not completely so. I still watch what I eat as I've always done (not much for sweets or soda) -- just need to work out those "portion" issues. I've been missing out on some sleep lately, mostly to stay up and play Mario on my DS or watch some "TV" shows on my computer. So it's for a perfectly good reason that I've been staying up late!
I think that just about covers most things. I was told (back in October) that I could graudate and get my AA this spring and I'd hear something in March. Well, March is here so we'll see what happens. My birthday was on February 18th (thanks for the comment mom) and I'm a wopping 25 years old -- or as I like to say a "quarter-of-a-century" old. Okay, I don't really like to say that. Micah's response to my aging? "Your face looks older", followed by a threatening glare on my part.
I'm off to pretend to do something constructive. Have a good weekend everybody!

Academic Excellence
So I got my letter from Orange Coast College regarding my achieving the President's List. It was a very nice letter. Therefore, I am going to post a bit for you all:
"Congratulations! I am very pleased to notify you of your placment on the President's List for academic excellence at Orange Coast College. You are one of 478 students who acheieved a 4.0 grade point average in 12 or more units... Your achievement is most significant since it places you among the top one percent of the approximately 24,000 students who attend Orange Coast College."
How exciting is that? I was really pleased when I got this letter. It was such a nice suprise. I'd love to do it again next semester. We'll have to see what happens. Anyway, hope everyone else is having a good week. It's almost over. And... as you can see, only 30 days 'til I arrive in Alaska. I'm really excited, but I will certainly miss Micah during that time.
Think of what you guys want to do.
